Mary Powell, place and investment manager at the county council, explained:

“We’re finding that tourists now are looking for more than just a sightseeing trip when they book a break away. Really experiencing what our county has to offer and taking part in events, trying something new or learning a skill, has become far more important.”

Big name concerts

Burghley House also welcomes thousands of concertgoers each year who enjoy music in a magnificent historic setting on summer evenings.
